I live in Portugal and felt a slight sway to the building I live in (at just a couple minutes after the earthquake hit). I looked on the news and we did get a small earthquake from this terrible earthquake in Morocco. I feel so bad for the people.

The centuries old tradition of mud brick buildings and the use of clay bricks without reinforcement was unfortunately the major cause of the high death toll. So tragic for these people who could not afford earthquake resistant housing.
It will be more then 5 thousand once the dust settles in.

Wow. Im pretty tuff. But seeing that man lost his wife daughters and baby made me cry. And his home. You can see he's thin from working hard. Brutal brutal tragedy.
How old was the wall around the city? If it stood until now.the quake over a hundred years ago must have been weaker.Yes?
