Several survivors are still being pulled from the rubble nearly a week after the initial earthquakes. The U.N. Emergency Relief Coordinator acknowledged the world had “failed” the people of Syria, which is in increasingly dire straits. NBC News’ Gabe Gutierrez is in Southern Turkey, sharing some of the miraculous rescues.

Everytime there's a terrible and horrible tragedy there's actually going to be looting and other things that are going to happen. There may be curfew and maybe martial law as well. The death toll will actually be over 33,000 in few days and will actually climb even higher. This is actually a terrible and heartbreaking to see what happened in Turkey and Syria.
