Death Toll Rises To At Least 37 In Kentucky Flash Flood Catastrophe

Kentucky is recovering following a historic flash flood catastrophe. Rescuers are still uncovering the layers of death and misery as they continue to search the area. The death toll is now at 37 and is expected to increase, according to officials. Many in the area still have no power or drinkable water. Since last week, eastern Kentucky has received five to ten inches of rain and tonight more heavy rain is in the forecast.

  1. If you live in a flood potential area, you need to build your house on elevated land, when elevated land is not available you build your house on stilts, or you build a protection barrier around your property.

Protect what is yours, I wish all those who are effected the best and may they overcome this tragedy.

  2. Didnโ€™t Canada have a once in 100 year flood a couple of months ago๐Ÿค”

  3. โ€œI will heap on them one disaster after another,

I will use up all my arrows on them:

pangs of hunger, ravages of plague,

    and bitter pestilence.โ€ โ€“ (Deuteronomy 32: 23-24) โ€“

  4. Man. I think they should put all the minds and technologies at good use. Maybe make a sensor for floods. We have for earthquakes and Tsunamis and storms. Maybe put it on pavements then when it reach a threshold it would send a warning text to all people affected on the area. Coz I think most of the people that was killed during this disasters are the people who didn't expect things like this to happen. And it was also at night.

  5. I would never live in Kentucky!!!!!

  6. Must be a lot of sin in this red county

  7. Wow this is very sad to hear to see my heart โค๏ธ goes to everyone over in Kentucky my prayers ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน

  8. The Congressman for this region is Hal Rogers. He's rated as one of the ten worst and last election they sent him back for his 21st term in the House with 84% of the vote. They CHOSE to ignore the science on climate change. When New York and New Jersey got hit by hurricane Sandy back in 2012, Rand Paul voted against providing any federal relief. If that was the right thing to do in 2012, why would 2022 be any different? And you can stick that coastal elite nonsense you know where – my father's home town is fewer than 400 people and my mother's was just 29 back when I was a kid in the 1970s.

  9. Can we please help our citizens? Our own people PLEASE!!!!

  10. Nobody cares about Kentucky because there's too many uneducated morally defeated poor people, the state does not care. When there was a raging pandemic, the state workers stole money out of working men and womens bank accounts right before Christmas. Well over $100,000 gone without an explanation or payback to the people they stole from. Good luck to the Federal government trying to send the state of Kentucky any federal aid without the State sticking their hands in it and taking their share of the cash. And if the State doesn't get it, the local government will definitely see what they can gain from it, especially the ones that have the bigger cities.

  11. maybe Mitch McConnell could help! all Republicans!

  12. Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

  13. So sad. Breaks my heart for these families.

  14. It is not "a once in a 1000 year flood". nbc is trash.

  15. Billions to Ukraine and nothing for these people.

  16. Send money to Kentucky instead of The Ukraine MONEY PIT.

  17. This terrain is straight out of the movie Deliverance.

  18. Ask god king trump for help.

  19. theres a reasonable explanation and its not climate change god is punishing us because i didnt go to church last month because i stayed up late to watch Nascarยฎ
