Our economy is killing renters! We went from people getting away without paying for rent during Covid now renters can’t hardly survive because now most of these landlords are corporations and people are paying more for rent than mortgages! And because housing prices are so out of control, the increase in interest, nobody can afford to even sell and buy a different home! Buying power has diminished and these young kids have no ability to ever afford a home of their own. Something has to be done otherwise corporate will eventually own everything and nobody will have a piece of the American dream!
So sad. Heard after Biden’s plan was seen landlords ( many corporations) were clapping
It’s true there’s an internet program corporations can buy to alert them to prime area single family homes and they’re buying up all the homes and charging ridiculous rent or converting to student apartments. Unfortunately that leaves little rental ability for many, and it’s inhumane

rent is high because maintenance costs are high because green new deal has caused price surges.
rent is high because of lock downs shuddering supply chain mailing material costs through the roof.
rent is high because cost to hire people is high because they got paid more to stay home
rent is high because they hired more irs agents increasing our dependence on professional services
