What about brain
I am actually only got maybe a year or two left on my kidneys a knife figured I wasn’t gonna go for a human transplant or dialysis and I was just gonna die because of the side effects and everything that goes wrong. In the short time you have on dialysis and a human kidney transplant, plus the cancer possibilities but this pig kidney thing might be the answer for me. I might do this actually if that’s offered for me I don’t know if I’ll be dead before it’s on the market or if they would except me as a test subject, which I gladly do, but it kind of gives me hope that I might not be dead in two years. I’m only 49 years old now but I just can’t imagine going to dialysis three times a week for four hours a day and feeling weak and sick or getting a kidney transplant that’s only gonna last 7 to 10 years and repress my immune system so I can possibly get colon cancer or other kinds of cancers.

there cetainly ethics questions that come up about using a live human without that persons personal permission, questions that obviously the doctors addressed "adequately" enough to get approval to do this… I understand the ramifications of success, and the lives it will save, I myself need new lungs… but with Medical experimentation in the past with no ethical oversight at all, we must remain vigilant that all the "i" are dotted, and all the "t" crossed… basically boils down to I hope at the very least there was an advocate for the patient (not a family member) who weighed the patentiets risks and felt that he would not suffer as a result. If it were me on the table I would like an impartial person looking out for me.

Enough people die every day to give anyone needing an organ what they need, it's just that most people refuse to be orang donors because they're selfish. I always get a chuckle out of the so-called pro-life people who refuse to be organ donors.
