In response to to Mr. Rosenberg, does the fact that the cases pending in the Supreme Court today were brough by partisan actors invalidate the rulings? It never has and it never will. The issues at stake are political and beacuse only one party was involved in the coup, inevitably partisan. What is the alternative? A counter coup if Democrats lose the next presidential election? There has to be room somewhere for Democrats to participate in the affairs of this country without having to get the express permission of Republicans.

The image of a "mostly partisan referral" was created by Republicans in order to protect a Republican and all his enablers. Very typical of Republicans: create the problem and then blame the Dems for being political when they try to solve the problem Republicans created.
Let's say Mr. Rosenberg intentionally hit a baseball through a neighbor's window. When the neighbor, not knowing it was intentional, asked Mr. Rosenberg to get the window fixed, Mr. Rosenberg refused and would only acquiesce if he got to pick his cousin Zelda to be the glazier. The neighbor would also have to take half of the responsibility because he chose to have a window in that spot in his house, and pay 50% of the cost, which was double the estimate of a glazier the neighbor found in the Yellow Pages. Would it be unreasonable for the neighbor to hire his own glazier and sue Mr. Rosenberg for damages? Would Mr. Rosenberg's lawyer insist that the neighbor had to take Mr. Rosenberg's deal?
That's the kind of deal McCarthy offered to the Democrats on the Committee. He could have picked the names of six Republican members of the House at random out of a hat or the congressional phone book, and the list would almost certainly have been accepted by Pelosi. Instead, he wanted to use the equivalent of Trump's cousin Zelda, Trump's cousin Norm, Trump's cousin Aloysius, etc. and she refused, and went and found her own glaziers, I mean, Republicans, Kinzinger and Cheney.

The primary judge of whether it really is partisan is whether it is based in fact and it has been based in fact and nearly all of the facts produced by Republicans who were involved in one way or another. This has not been a partisan process and everyone needs to stop using language that suggests that it has been. I am European. I am very surprised at the narrative that it might be partisan if you try to do something about a leader of a party who tried to have an election overturned that did not go his way, And this done in multiple ways, not only proven, but acknowledged by the person himself, multiple times…. He boasts about most of it… Facts are facts. Laws are laws. He broke them; off course he should be put away. That is what you do. The idea that a party keeps him on top of itself and cries about him "being attacked" is stupid. If you do not want to be attacked, do not put a criminal on top.
It only looks partisan because you only have 2 parties and 1 does not hold him accountable. If you had more, it would not look partisan at all. If the rpubs cared anything about the laws, they would hold him accountable themselves, but they clearly do not, when it is a rich, powerfull person. That is classist justice, which is no justice at all. Justice was invented as a system to hold people accountable in a just manner. The people demanded eventually that everybody would face equal justice. If the repubs believed this, they would condemn their person themselves for breaking it. But they do not. There is no excuse for that. That anyone would vote for a party that has so little respect for itself is beyond me.
