Here’s the thing; this case is about reputation, not a payout. Dominion needs this case to go forward and to win in order to salvage their reputation from the damage that Fox News dealt to them. Fox News needs to settle the case in order to protect their reputation as a news organization. Both of these companies depend on their reputations for their continued business. Their self interests are at odds with each other. Dominion won’t settle. If they do then their reputation, and thus their continued ability to do business in the future, is in the dirt.
