Dozens of people in Sri Lanka were arrested and injured during a protest outside the home of the country’s president. Demonstrators were protesting against President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s handling of an economic crisis.

Corrupt politicians destroyed entire country pray for sri lanka
To whom it may concern, at present there’s ongoing abuse of human rights in srilanka. People are losing their freedom of rights for speaking against the government, there’s a curfew imposed to stop people protesting against this abusive government dictatorship. Terrorism laws are being used to charge common people who are speaking against the current crisis and are denied bail. Social media and other modes of communications have been blocked and university students are currently being charged for highlighting the issues at hand. Working class families despite ethnic or religious background have no food, fuel or electricity or any basic necessities. All state examinations have been cancelled indefinitely depriving millions of children from education. Why isn’t international community investigating billions of money laundered by the Rajapaksa family, especially considering some are also US duel citizens? The whole nation is suffering, people are dying on a daily basis queuing up to 4-5 hours to get essential food items or gas from shops. Both government and private sector hospitals have run out of medicine. However, tax payers money is used to fund police and army to guard politicians and their relatives homes day and night, along with a voodoo lady that predicts future for the Rajapaksa family (I’m not being funny). Ambulances have no fuel for emergency patients, the rajapaksa family tours with an entourage of 20+ vehicles at a time. Currently there’s ongoing curfew and srilankan people cannot stand up for their basic human rights and peacefully priest against the abusive and corrupted rajapaksa family ( 4 family members holding highest ranking posts in the government, including president and prime minister). The government ministers are not paying for electricity or water-bills. Tourism industry has fallen to the ground. A working class family is lucky if they are able to have 1 meal a day at this point. This is the situation as of 03-04-2022
