Hate to be a downer, im excited too but, i feel somehow years from now we'll be asking ourselves "whatever happened to that cancer cure?" and find out it was bought by someone and never developed for some reason
This is amazing news. I had an assistant who died from rectal cancer within 10 months of being diagnosed at the young age of 24. I was devastated to see such a healthy funny energetic young man go from 150lbs to 100lbs so quickly. He was so hopeful even after several months of radiation tx and getting accustomed to a colostomy bag and I truly thought he was going to be one of the 5% who makes it through this type of cancer. He endured hospice care for several weeks and fortunately managed to marry his high school sweetheart a few months before passing. I will never forget him and the energy and positivity he carried with him. God bless those who are making this cure a reality.
If the drug has been out there already then they've figured a way that is new in the delivery that has to be at least somewhat specific in its targeting. Meaning it will need to be adapted for other cancers in other organs. Maybe a covalent and enzyme activated particular to the organ. Fastest time for something like this might be 1.5 years to 3 years…. 100% and already used they could get a special allowance.. I think it is '502' – going from pre-clinic to a Phase 2 skipping Phase one study(understanding safety and interaction with other drugs) and add in Breakthrough status start applying the drug before a Phase 3 study was complete,
better be careful though, regular channels requires years of observation before giving masses of people something untried on that kind of scale.

Don't t get your hope up too high. Its just remission not a cure. Remission mean allows for the possibility that some microscopic, undetectable cancer remains in the body. Usually cancer will return with vengeance.
