37 people have gotten sick in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Indiana, with 10 people hospitalized. Authorities are still searching for the outbreak’s cause, but the CDC says most reported eating at a Wendy’s restaurant before getting sick, many specifically having sandwiches with romaine lettuce. The CDC clarifies that it is okay to eat at Wendy’s and that romaine lettuce is broadly safe to eat. As a precaution, the fast food chain has pulled lettuce off its sandwiches in the region.

Just wash the lettuce.
They runs Wendy’s like crap nowadays, a bunch of teenagers running the joints and not properly cleaning them and the quality has gone down hill. They need actual managers in store and making sure the young actually provide the quality of the past Wendy’s.
If nobody remembers back in the late 80s early 90s Wendy’s had a claim of using cows with flesh eating bacteria for meat because the beef was cheaper to use. I have a feeling if you track the meat purchases, you’ll find your answers. Just saying.
Its not Wendy's but really the source of the lettuce. Theres been couple of warnings / outbreaks from lettuce in super markets as well 😕

About 6weeks ago here in Stone Mountain,GA I got very very sick 1hr. After eating at Wendy’s….. I was sick for about a week….. was going to the bathroom a lot and couldn’t eat or drink hardly anything the whole time

Every Wendy's I've gone into smells more like fish than restaurants that specialize in fish. Their burgers have a "fishy" taste as well. All I'll buy at Wendy's now is the Frosty
I worked at Wendy’s before, at several locations in the Detroit area. There were a handful of times where romaine lettuce was recalled and we didn’t serve it, and there were times where we were already serving that same lettuce to customers the same day before we heard about the recall.

I will never eat at Wendy's again after their grilled chicken sandwich gave me severe food poisoning on May 8th this year in Colorado Springs. I ended up in the hospital for 2 days and a total bill of $43k ! Thankfully I was admitted through the ER and I had a low insurance co-pay. I had to call the paramedics as the food poisoning caused me to pass out and I hit my head on my bedroom door. So I also needed to get CT scans of my abdomen, head and neck. The nurses at the hospital said they treat many patients with food poisoning caused by chicken and salads bought at restaurants. May none of you experience what I had to endure. I was put on an antibiotic at the hospital which caused more diarrhea for another 18 hours.
My dad, mom, sister, as well as myself all got food poisoning from Wendy's.
