Ecuadorian President Guillermo Lasso terminated the impeachment proceedings against him by dissolving the National Assembly, leading the National police to prohibit former Assembly members from entering the legislative building. NBC News’ Valerie Castro shares the latest.

What Lasso did was remove the Ecuadorian version of Trumpsters in the Ecuadorian Senate. The people he removed supported a previous ideology “Correismo” that supported expresident Correa and his attemp to return to Ecuadorian politics. While Lasso’s actions may not be democratic by our standards, he did get rid of senators that became millionaires overnight under Correa. May of theses pro-correa senators got their money from loans from China that were supposed to the Ecuadorian people, projects to improve Ecuadorian living standards. These Senators were also very pro Venezuela’s Maduro, pro Cuban communism, and very pro Putin and CCP. These senators were very anti-US despite many of them investing and benefiting from their stolen money in the US.
The whole country is corrupt. Pretty much doomed i would say. How do you change a country that is corrupt all the way from the top to bottom? And now the narcos have come in because they realize how easy it is here to do whatever you want..
Not a good time to visit Ecuador for the next week to 6 months.
