Doesn't look like gators attacked her out of the blue. She likely slipped and fell into the pond, possibly dying of drowning, and only then gators came to feast on her dragging her when deputies arrived

Alligators didn't just attack her out of the blue. She must have walked down to the shore and lost her balance and fallen, then flailed in the water weakly. Would not be surprised if coroner said she had a heart attack or something which caused her to fall
