Contrary to the PR push to make it seem so, people like Musk, Gates, Bezos, Zuckerberg, etc., do NOT have the best interests of The People in mind.
But they have hooked us with the convenience, speed and high tech of their offerings so that we've made them mega-billionaires. Now, with so much money and unchecked power ("influence"), they are able to completely bypass whatever is left of "democracy' and act as if they are experts in diplomacy or medicine or human relations and we are encouraged to take their word for everything because they're smarter than we are.
Even more dangerous than that though is that Musk is a transhumanist.
Transhumanism wants to end humanity as we know it and replace homo-sapiens with artificial intelligence driven biology.

Normally what you do when acquiring a company is you come in and make an assessment of where things are at . You analysis decisions that were made and make the appropriate changes.
What Musk is doing is more of a show . All of you out there that think is a great thing . I think you should take a wait and see attitude. Twitter may be crucial in your minds but the company doesn't actually make money . This is a problem Musk will have to rectify, despite any feelings he might have on changes.
Lastly , there is allot of confusion on " freedom of speech" . People think , mistakenly, that the constitution provides some sort of automatic rules on companies. It doesn't the constitution applies to the limits of what government can restrict. Not private companies or citizens.
Elon Musk can set any terms of use he wants, and take any political stance he wants. It's his company and he doesn't owe you a platform
