The Kids have to much time off during the Holidays.
We need more school choice. In fact, government schooling is a failed social experiment. All government schools should be privatized, and a full-ride scholarship should be given to the bottom half. We should have a separation of school and state. It makes no sense to give politicians the power to indoctrinate the children.

I was working 10.5 hours a day during covid and then had my child to teach after work. I still had to pay school taxes but had to do their job for them. It's time parents get the money to educate their children.
Teachers here, were driving through neighborhoods and honking the horn. They were posting on Facebook that now parents could see how they feel. Teachers just assumed that we all were sitting home. It never occurred to them that the rest of us were working overtime.
I got a called one day on my way home. The teacher was asking me how it's going. I told her I had been at work for 10.5 hours and hadn't even made it home yet. I asked her if she had contacted my teenager at all to answer any questions she might have about her work. We hadn't heard from any of them for weeks. Only saw the post of them celebrating getting paid for not working.
