Most people now adays don't use common sense, as long as they see that they are cool gadgets they will buy it not knowing that we are supporting C.C.P. how else could their military meaning C.C.P. be a million strong and the U. S. military is starting to fall it is because we are sending our business to C.C.P.. If we look around almost everything we buy are made in china. I czn't recall when was the last time I saw anything made in our country the great U.S.A. we need to start supporting our gteat country U.S.S.❤❤❤❤
Great talk with Dr. Ward, the esteemed book vendor. I appreciate that he not only brought up problems but also offered solutions—a rare treat from him these days. On the point of the U.S. military presence, playing Devil's advocate, one could argue that the U.S. is operating far outside its legitimate sphere of influence, unlike China.
Observing the current trends, it seems Taiwan may very well voluntarily reunite with China in a few years. For years I've been keenly studying both China and the U.S., and the U.S.'s strategy has never been more predictable.
As for what the U.S. should focus on: I agree with the Dr., winning the economic war should be the priority. It's time for a strategic review to de-risk across the board and only decouple from strategically essential areas. The U.S. also needs to build relationships with emerging markets which might be easier said than done given the push away from hegemony. The American approach to international relations has become obese, ineffective, and sadly, very predictable. It's led to a future where the U.S. will lose out on significant cash flows due to a reliance on sanctions which are clearly at the end of the diplomatic product life cycle.
Lastly, humility teaches lessons that excessive ego growth prevents us from learning. As someone who's experienced the humbling effects of defeat, I find it concerning that such egotistical growth can happen at a national level. Without any setbacks, ego swells until we can't differentiate between reality and illusion, leading us to make poor judgments. If the U.S. continues on this path, the players on the field when the U.S. declines will be the most ineffective the country has ever seen; well, the history books will postulate that!!
