Natalie did not deserve to die. That said, the idea of "high school graduation" trips to foreign locations where the young people consume alcohol (she was last seen leaving a bar late at night) which is illegal at their age when at home is a blueprint for disaster. With judgement impaired by the alcohol, in an exotic location, good decisions may not be made.
