The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a close call that happened on Friday between a Cessna business jet and a Southwest Airlines plane at the San Diego International Airport. NBC News’ Sam Brock has the story.

It was a closed call. The unusual steep approach allowed extra separation between the landing Citation jet and the Southwest plane. The approaching planes aren't visible to pilots until near touch down due to the parking structure directly under the landing path, thus partially blocking the departing pilots' view. Jets landing at this airport came very close to the parking structure at times, they had to switch runway if visibility is less than a mile for safety.
What closer look? Everything will be the same until it crash

Is lack of communications really a shock to airports when it happens across usa? We hear from every field imaginable how terribly undervalued communications are which is why i always say usa work ethic is shxt at best and tragic on it's worst day.
Every profession has lost decades of experience and experties because of covid laying people off and hiring rookies.
A whole bunch of things is sounding about right. Whe till a UFO/UAP gets in the mix. Once there's a catastrophe, then the FAA and NTSB will need to answer hard questions.
