  1. first a off duty officer tries to crash a plane now another incident? this is wild.

  2. Just a few miles away was an off duty pilot trying to breach the cockpit on a flight heading for San Francisco

  3. The FAA because of Congress and Commercial Drone Alliance has been so wrapped up in making nonsense rules for flying toys ( RC Aircraft ) as they continue to fail in dealing with manned aviation that is declining rapidly . We hear the "dreaded drone" claims almost daily and yet No evidence of any drone issues as claimed , while the FAA has more and more crashes, lost of life, property damages and near misses happening in manned aviation and so bad even Ted Cruz addressed it with the FAA with video and audio from mounting manned aviation issues, not to mention another where a Off duty Pilot tried to shut the engines off an Alaskan Airline just today. Manned aviation is in serious trouble but it is RC Hobbyists they say they are concerned with and with no such problems, all because Commercial Drone companies are buying the skies already spending over $23 Billion this year and according to Forbes an estimated $58.7 Billion by 2030 as Manned aviation may soon become extinct as we know it.

  4. A pilot on alaska air tried to shut down a plane in air.

Seattle Portland over run with satanists.

  5. The second time Alaska has been on the news this month and past two weeks

  6. what is going on with alaska airlines?

  7. How tf does this happen with such vast skies?! WTF IS GOING ON

  8. PDX has two different tower frequencies, one for each runway, so neither set of pilots knew what the others were doing. Thank god for TCAS

  9. Another Alaska flight ?? Whats going on???

  10. 2 Alaska Airlines events in ONE DAY. An attempted hijacking and a near miss. What’s going on with them? Ground the airline.

  11. Million dollars says diversity hiring practices ahs everything to do with this!

  12. Definitely never flying Alaska

  13. Listen to the actual ATC recording. This had nothing to do with the "Go around procedure" or any lack of training for one. The controller instructed Skywest to turn heading 340 and the Alaska Airlines flight thought the instruction was for them and read it back to the controller, who missed the fact that it was Alaska that read back the instruction, not Skywest. As a result, it was mainly the controller's fault.

  14. 1:36 This is a very misleading statement.

Go arounds happen hundreds of times, everyday, everywhere in the world. They are not uncommon. I myself have been involved in 2.

They are routine and not risky when done correctly, in fact exactly the opposite. They are performed when the pilots determine an approach unsafe.

You make it sound as if the go around itself is what was risky about this incident, not the loss of separation. The go around was not the problem.

  15. Damn bro Alaska Airlines be in the news for severe things man, tells me never to fly Alaska😂 First someone tried to shut down the engines then now an almost near air collision, I’m good Alaska Airlines🤣

  16. Air traffic controllers are overworked and underpaid, and work overtime all the time. It's common for those guys to work 48 hours or 72 hours straight without sleep.

  17. Here's an idea….build more airports

  18. Wow! Alaska Airlines isn't having a very good day!

  19. I remember an Alaska Airlines crashing into the Pacific Ocean due to faulty maintenance killing all on board, a few decades back. I would never fly Alaska Air!

  20. I not bye the collision sh*t story like it heavy traffic in the air or sky.
