Oh…there's been a whole SLEW of recommendations but the FAA, so far, has declined to implement said recommendations, which forces airlines to be compliant with said FAA regulations.
If there's anything that I've learned from watching the Air Disaster series on the Smithsonian Channel is that there are A LOT more things that can be done to improve air safety, and neither the FAA nor the airlines want to make aviation safer for the flying public.
(Because if they actually, TRULY did, they they wouldn't implemented said recommendations. And yet, they haven't. Their actions speak louder than their words.)
Feeling lucky so far? With so many near misses, before long a disaster to strike!
