PROGRAMMER is an alternative word for ENGINEER.
There is NO BAD AI, only HUMANS, who program the droids and cornucopia of devices BUILT with AI, to respond/act.
Whatever form future AI imbodies is irrelevant. It has no feelings, empathy, or conscience and never will – they are not biological beings. AI's only job is to intake and process data, and respond, or take action, based on that data.
Every aspect of AI is created and designed and engineered, by humans.
So this FAA incident is NOT a computer glitch or computer error; it's a HUMAN ERROR. As humans are both imaginative yet fallible, we can therefore expect more human errors in the future, and thus more AI errors in the future.
The danger is not the concept of AI; it's the human beings behind every great or catastrophic ACT by AI, as COMMANDED by HUMANS..
WE control our destiny, and should never lose sight of this.
The FAA's response: "We're going to do things differently" should be "do things BETTER" and this motto should be their #1 priority, every single hour of every day.

we live in a consumer's world and the best at it are the smartphone company not keeping your phone up to date with the security. any smart tech knows that a smartphone can be used for years but they make it so that consumers need to buy a new one with the updates. PC companies are starting to do that with their OS not working on older PC.
