Questions are mounting over the death of 27-year-old Niani Finlayson, whose family reported she was shot and killed by a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy in front of her 9-year-old daughter after calling 911 to seek help for domestic violence. NBC News’ Liz Kreutz has the details after Finlayson’s family filed a legal claim.

As soon as the police arrived, she should have dropped the knife. They don't pull out a stun gun or mace for people that are holding a lethal weapon. This is a sad story all around.

"30 million dollars". It's all about money with these people. That's taxpayer money meant for the benefit of all, not for a few.
I am old enough to remeber when cops used a thing called negotiations. I have no idea where this idea of just reacting and K someone. They use to call a negotiator to come and try to talk the person down. That could work fast or it can take hours. Now these cops resct in a matter of minutes and its most of the time letahal. This is every department around the country. Our lives do not matter to these departments. If tjey can justify a K tjey will chose to K and often times we the peolle can see their excises are not justified and these officers are getting away with M every week around the country. They are paid by US the tax payer and sworn to protect a serve but they only protect themselves and seeve their departments not the people of the community. If you look at the numbers of police K in the 80's and 90's vs the 2000's the numbers are off the chart. Officers use to show up talk to both sides and made a decision. Now they show up to make things worse for both sides.

I've had two different jerks call the police first when they thought I was going too. It's a ploy some try to pull on the police. It didn't work with my two times either. It's sad for her family, but the cops say drop a weapon and you're asking for suicide by cop cause they're determined to go home. If your not, then so be it. Who knows what was going on in her mind.
