  1. "We are committed to firearm safety and ensuring they dont end up in the hands of children… the gun was secure" Um, obviously not, lady.

  2. "We will regret our absent brain of practicing common sense and keeping a firearm safely away from the kid at all cost. All this while we sit in well deserved prison time"

  3. Why do we still not know the identity of the boy and his parents?

  4. Blame the parents, blame the school, blame who you want… but the point of the matter is that if a six year old kid can methodically access a secure gun, avoid detection when the school has been tipped off, and shoot a teacher, this kid is NOT well. He is a sociopath and needs help.

  5. If you can afford a gun, you can afford a LOCK BOX….

  6. The gun very well could have been secured. To what lengths are to be found out. I wasn't very old when I was able to pick a simple suitcase lock, much like the ones on many gun cases. Intelligence and motivation are all that is needed. This kid may have had both.

  7. Why isn't the parents arrested, the other parents are arrested when there child went on a school shooting spree, is there a double standard here? Why haven't we seen the parents of the 6 year old boy, we surely seen the other parents arrested in jail and on court tv!

  8. Why would a 6 year, with or without problems, even think to do that? He is clearly being exposed to these things.

  9. im confused how grown adults, searched the child after they were told he had a firearm but somehow coudln't find it…. for chirst sakes man its a 9mm, its half the size of the child.

  10. Why is Michael on TV?

  11. Your child shouldn't even KNOW that you have a gun

  12. the mother has no concern over what happened, she's just acting concerned. she should be serving time for gross neglect and diminished responsibility

  13. Judging by these comments, humanity is screwed.

  14. I'm sorry for the parents but if you have a child who is terrorizing his classmates and teachers to the point he can't ever be without a parent then why in the hell would you ever have guns anywhere in the house? Locked up or not, they never should have had a gun. Also, sounds like he had no business being in a public school. His classmates shouldn't have to go to school and be scared everyday because of one student.

  15. That shooter can't ever be trusted again, or let into a school. Parents should see lots of jail time for letting their "mental midget" at their gun. The teacher should stay home and sue the authorities, and never teach again.

  16. The real question is why was the gun loaded

  17. If your son has disabilities you should not under no circumstances have a fire arm in your house even if you properly secure it kids are smart enough to figure out how to get to it

  18. Here we go!!! All the lefties calling for all guns abolished
I don’t understand WHY they cannot understand the wording in the second amendment
Where it states “SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED UPON”
    End of discussion…..

  19. The kid and parents need to be held accountable! What the point of not charging them because with all these school shooting if you let them go it will keep going

  20. Can you imagine if a white child shot a BLACK TEACHER

  21. Like the McCann's, the parents are proclaiming they are responsible parents- the evidence is to the contrary though.

  22. What kind of disability does the child have? The kind of disability to leave a weapon unsecured and then the kid carries to school and then shoot his teacher at the age of six? Throw the book at the parents

  23. People forget that kids are smart and very observant. When i was a kid certain channels very password locked due to the age restriction, I'll i need to do it observe my dad enter the passcode a few times to remember the pattern. The same thing could had happened with the kid. Parents have the habit of forgetting that kids mimic them.

  24. How the hell does a 6 year old get hold of a gun, especially if it's "secured". Obviously it was not secured. Where you keep your guns and how to get a hold of them easily should not be on your 6 year old child's radar.

  25. The parents say that the gun was licensed and secured. If that were true they wouldn't be on the news. How would he get to the gun, be able to open the case, or even have access to the bullets allowing him to fire that weapon in the first place. Second if his parents were required to be present at school with him at all times…why in the world was he allowed at the school without his parents. It's the lack of responsibility and, accountability on the parents part and lackadaisical professionalism and safety on the school for me. Lastly, the moment there was speculation about a gun, his parents and the authorities should have been called ASAP. I blame the adults…I mean he is only 6 years old… it's the negligence of the adults that helped him get that far.

  26. There was a Army guy coming out of the school laug

  27. I’d bet it all that we’re talking about a minority

  28. Why aren't theses parents in jail

  29. This is negligence. They should be charged.
