Families of the victims in the Uvalde shooting are speaking out and demanding accountability after surveillance footage was released from the hallways of Robb Elementary School during the massacre. NBC News’ Tom Llamas is joined by two fathers of victims who are outraged the release occurred before they were able to view it.

I understand their frustration, but it's better it got leaked. The police would have probably edited and cut out everything that incriminates them or shows them being completely inept.
The Father's said that they are being told nothing, and almost everything put out so far is lies. Why would they not want the truth out? I understand the no sound, turn the volume off while watching if you choose to. WE NEED THE TRUTH! Their lawyers and politicians are putting words into their mouths. Trying to shift blame from the cops to the media is also what the POLITICIANS in Texas are doing. That in itself should make this effort to redirect the families' anger toward the media is shady. And there are crooked "anti-cop" lawyers out there, too who represent families who lose loved ones to police violence or, in this case, criminal police inaction..
The real issue is the inaction of the cops. Yes, it was upsetting to release it early and with (some of the sound, the worst was edited out), but whoever it was wanted the truth to get out and make it harder for the police to get away with it. The families didn't have to see it. A lawyer is telling them what to say so they can sue the newspaper for its money as well. The powers that be would like this all to be covered up, behind closed doors, and for no rogue actors threatening unsatisfactory monetary settlement by leaking information like the school surveillance video. Criminal acts by the police will only occur again, and more people will die, if the truth isn't allowed to fully come out.
The parents should be glad that the whole world saw the video cause now we know what really happen n how bad the Police didn’t do there JOB cause if it wouldn’t of been showed they would of probably erase parts and hide things that really happen n the parents wouldn’t know the truth now they’ll have evidence to get Justice

These family just want MONEY..
They want accountability and don't even realize that releasing this video to the public is the best chance that they will get it for the failures of law enforcement that day.
Where can I find the one with audio?
I have a hard time comprehending why parents are upset about the video being released. They are more interested in protecting the mayor and police chief than finding out what happened to their babies and preventing it from happening again.
Every one of these victims’ parents/guardians should’ve been contacted and given the opportunity to view the video footage in it’s entirety BEFORE releasing it to the public—period. I’d even go as far as their permission having to be granted before releasing it. The fact that they all watched it in tandem with the public is a complete display of DISRESPECT…in my opinion.
I wish these family members would focus on more on the fact that these officers were cowards versus it being released to the public first the public needed to see this because these are the same people protecting those that they were sworn and taking the oath to protect and they didn't
