FBI Says Fraud On LinkedIn A ‘Significant Threat’
source
🐙
The FBI can track those people.. turn on their webcam… find their location… they are just being lazy. Tisk tisk
Putting your personal information online is just dangerous in general. I see people using geo tagging on photos, location check in, and posting out of town vacation time-lines. You're giving criminals everything they need to extort you or physically rob your home. Social media has become a dangerous place and an increasingly psychologically unhealthy way to spend time and energy.
There are many crypto scams on YouTube comments as well. I think that's more threatening than other social media
Recent fakes u can detect but the professional fakes is not which is the worst
Its funny that u just know that because all the biggest popular fraudsters are actually have a very good linkn resume
Not only financial scams but romance scams as well on LinkedIn!
Companys the one scamming ! How they get away with it ! They know if a outside scammer shows up ! They can lie to public but i know better
I think 🤔 LinkedIn should be sued for security leaks.
All of these online job things like Glassdoor LinkedIn indeed all of those things should not be in use people should go back to paper applications and faxes
The Democrats have breached the Capital building in Washington D.C. So far seven of the insurrectionists have been arrested and are in jail awaiting their criminal trial.
HEY NBC! The scam you reported on is being perpetrated under this thread. A whole slew of accounts opened in Nov 21 are "having a conversation" about the wonders of crypto and a miracle-worker trader everyone can contact on WhatsApp. Are you guys blind, stupid, or complicit? Surreal…
You guys should do a follow up report on youtube having all kinds of scams and google doing nothing to stop them. Even a simple spam filter on youtube comments would eliminate a bunch of them.
Criminals may be spending a lot of time on how to take from others, but if you are dump enough to think something that uninsured, on line and can't be tracked or take in by yourself, who really the stupid one?
I've seen a lot of this on Youtube. Every time I saw people posting it I reported it as "Fraud".
Luckily i never fell for cryptocurrency scams. I strictly depend on sending prepaid gift cards information. That's it!
online now as it was then trust no one people. what a bounch of suckers….wow
I flagged at least 5 profiles on LinkedIn who tried this and LinkedIn's response was they couldn't do anything. They are pretty useless and clearly don't care to beef up their privacy and protection.
That statement they issued is a lie. I even outlined exactly what the scam was bc it has happened on other platforms already. LinkedIn took zero accountability.
Hard to believe that scammers have actually attacked this thread below with the EXACT scam highlighted in the video…
The amounts these people lost are absolutely staggering. Greed is a crazy thing.
Why is anyone even on linked in?
Given how much some people were scammed, is it accurate to conclude that people don't need to be intelligent to make good money? Honestly I have plenty of people reaching out to me on Linkedin, text messages, etc who pretend to be someone else. I regularly talk to scammers online wasting their time and effort. lol. it's actually pretty fun on some days. I could understand some seniors may fall for scams but middle age adults?… oh lord.
they only wanted to extend my warranty

Linked-In is still a thing?
Who has that kind of money these days?
And Indeed too. Some promote fake jobs and they send you illegal checks especially with remote jobs.
Poor lady
I don't believe the 99%.
That’s greed for you. Investing in an obfuscated currency with someone you don’t know.
On the human duck blind, fraud is endemic.
i wish i was in linkedin to advise all those people not to follow the scammers, hey i saved them 300k from not losing it
The term bitcoin alone sounds fraudulent. Easy come, easy go or else we would all be rich and there wouldn't be poverty.
God people are so stupid
ALL internet job sites are fraud sites. You have to put some personal information on these sites and criminals know this. Not everyone who calls you back about a job opportunity or financial opportunity is legit. Be VERY CAREFUL with those over-the-phone job interviews and no matter what they say, don't give out any part of your Social Security number.
With the backwardness of our economy, increment in the price of gas, alarming rates of unemployment. I must confess our country have taken a wrong turn. Vividly I don't know how else to carter for my expenses.
People put whatever they want to be on their. Total joke
Hate LinkedIn. So boring and riddled with creeps
As soon as crypto is even mentioned, I run as far away as I possibly can. 99% of the time anything related to bitcoin or cryptocurrency is a scam. We have all been around in this world long enough to understand that if someone states that you can make an exuberant amount of money in such a short period of time, it’s realistically impossible and it most certainly is a scam. If it was that easy to make so much money, everyone would be doing it. People wouldn’t be complaining about gas prices, people wouldn’t be complaining about food prices going up, people wouldn’t complain about expensive rent etc. etc. I do feel bad for folks who had lost money however, if your paying attention instead of your money, scams are actually pretty easy to spot.
