  1. Toyota is known for this

  2. They need to start on their own first, these taxes are insane. They trynna move the situation away from them. Typical corruption.

  3. Junk fees?
You mean like the ones the government lets the utility companies get away with charging?

    Ok.
    Got it.
    Thanks.

  4. Scared me for a sec, I thought Stacy was that bearded dude.

  5. Stay away from Stealerships,…er,… I mean Dealerships.

  6. “Mandatory GPS installment for the cars safety ! Plus you save on insurance costs with this feature” get the heck outta here.

  7. Car dealerships "molesting" the customers? Say it ain't so! I can think of one or two I've dealt with in Colorado Springs.

There are good and honest new car dealerships that do exist, that do want repeat customers and referral business. One does have to oftentimes, hunt for them and they may be out of your state or even region, depending on the brand your looking for.

  8. This is why they are called STEALERSHIPS.

  9. Theyshould do that for all industries, starting with utilities and food

  10. Tesla sells direct to consumers why can't all manufacturers do it and stop the stealership from robbing people of their hard earned money.

  11. Dealerships and car salesmen are trash

Hold them accountable, fine them or shut them down.

    #stealerships

  12. how about letting car makers sell directly to the customer and breaking up the dealer monopoly? car dealers are just middlemen

  13. Forcing new layers of disclosures. LOL. No it is call being upfront with Paying Customers.

  14. Government cracking down, they're the only ones allowed to add bogus fees.

  15. I was shopping for a 2024 toyota tacoma and saw the MSRP was 31,500. At checkout a $1,500 fee was added for handling. So basically the MSRP was a lie because no matter where I would be in the world, the actual cost would be $33,000.

  16. This will not help the markups on new cars only thing that will help is the idiots that pay over sticker don’t buy cars!

  17. Sure, isn’t the federal government the one who raised junk fees to begin with? Look at these ridiculous rates ( before Covid 0 apr ) today outrageous prices and 4.99 apr thru 9.0 apr on good credit. Looks like I won’t be buying indefinitely.

  18. Wish the FTC would really crack down on the dishonest dealership scheme…the old bait and switch scam is rampant.

  19. You can always cancel those warranties! Do not let them tell you otherwise!

  20. Did they not get their share this time that they are finally doing something about this?? 🤔🤷‍♂️

  21. Oil changes on EVs? Don't forget to add blinker fluid maintenance as well!

  22. Recently, I also saw dealers putting "Extra cost items" on a piece of paper and put the paper on the new car's dashboard. The extra items would be like "full body paint protection for $1300" etc. Really? Why put the paper on the dashboard? They can monitor which new car is in high demand and move that paper around without peeling off the windows. Much easier work!

  23. The most recent oil change from a car dealership ended with the service consultant telling my wife and me that my car's timing belt was "cracked" and it would be dangerous to drive on the road. The belt would be "sucked" into the engine and caused major repairs…. etc.. My car does NOT use a timing belt. It uses a timing chain. When the dealership called back for their highly unsatisfactory survey, the consultant realized that I caught her. She now said she misspoke and changed her story from timing belt to water pump. I told her.. "you can't even get your story straight and I won't believe that for a simple oil change, your technician would open up all my engine components just to check, while you wanted to charge me $70 for a "full blown" brake inspection, which was free before." At least I did NOT fall victim to this scam, but my MIL did. They showed her a picture of a cracked water pump, and asked her to pay $1000. I later checked the engine, there was NO work done. How do I know this? The engine was dirty evenly across all the necessary parts that the dealer would have taken apart to get to the water pump! And the picture? Wait for it… it was a picture of somebody else's car. If you have been scammed, report to the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

  24. Dealerships are rip off artist ripping you off at every single corner never bring your vehicle back to the dealer for anything, unless it’s a free repair under warranty

  25. It's also a double hit. Usually these fees are rolled into the loan. Making you wait over an hour to finalize the sale is also another under handed tactic. The bank usually gives a yes or no within 5-10 minutes.

  26. Good because I was super concerned with this, and not inflation, government censorship, anti-2nd Amendment legislation, or a looming third world war.

  27. I hate dealers, get all the junk out of the buying process so we can actually buy a car

  28. Yep! Kirby Subaru of Ventura added just over $2000 is crap fees. Plus I bought the Cilajet paint protection for $1000 which is just junk.

  29. Lol NADA is right… we should just buy cars straight from the manufacturers instead of going through dealerships…

  30. they added 8 grand on my car .

  31. NADA is full of crap. You’d be surprised what dealers will pull the get the price up.

  32. We all know it car dealers are scam, Tesla way of car delivery is the future

  33. Healthcare is worst. Nobody is cracking down on outrageous cost of healthcare in America.

  34. Let the free market decide, the customer will just buy cars elsewhere and not at dealerships.

    Oh wait…
