A newly-released image from inside the school shows some of the first officers in the hallway were armed with rifles and a ballistic shield, but failed to move in on the shooter.

  1. And in Germany they go from class room to class room👍🏻

  2. American police… hitting 80 year old men on the street and hide when kids are killed. Unbelievable….

  3. Pete Arredondo is the school police chief – unless someone specifically told him he is being replaced as the incident commander, I have no idea why he would assume someone else is in charge of this situation. WTF!!! So is that how this works, Arredondo? As soon as you are faced with a "real" problem, you just automatically assume you can wash your hands free from dealing with the situation?

  4. They have no problem shooting some one out side what's with inside

  5. They must of been flipping a coin to see which one would want to take him out

  6. Why did they sign up to be police officers if they aren't willing to go in immediately to save a life?

  7. We need to salute and give donations to the police for their bravery and unselfishness.

  8. "Whoever is in charge will handle that" that's proof right there, leadership was missing.

  9. How hard was it to say they were scared?

  10. so very sad
those police officers should be fired

  11. I really believe they were hesitant to go guns blazing because they knew the shooter was a person of color. Cops know the country is watching every time they handle a situation with a POC. They've been caught too many times discriminating and being unjustifiable harsh against POC. So now they are being TOO cautious as to not cause controversy. They are being TOO lenient so they don't get accused of racism. It's an OVER correction. It doesn't matter that the shooter was killing kids. It doesn't matter that folks in the Uvalde police department are POC themselves. What matters is the optics on how they treat the attacker. Because they know white shooters are treated so much better, so they have to over correct. It's all about public perception and yes, although racism is a big and legitimate issue in police departments, it's seen as more of an ultimate sin than the death of children. Perhaps it's also has something to do with pro gun narratives. Because that's where our politics are at. You can't tell me that they weren't coordinated or brave enough to go in. There was some social and political aspects at play here.

  12. 58 minutes without anyone to help them. Can’t imagine the fear those children must have felt.

  13. This all comes back to who was in charge and what decisions were made by that person. Its that easy. If that person is complicit in the murder of children you have the obvious punishment laid out right there!

  14. Seriously? Don’t cops bust down doors all of the time? Plus they had the right gear. The cops didn’t do their job because they didn’t care.

  15. a platoon of heavily armed/trained cops stood outside for an hour and did nothing while this monster killed at will and the answer is too disarm millions of americans , anyone of which could/would have risked life/limb to save those kids , ignorance can be informed , cowardice/stupidity cannot be fixed , do not agree to give up ANY of your GOD GIVEN rights to this inept/corrupt government ! they do not care about you or your children , if you do not understand this by now there is no way to help you see what they are doing #FJB

  16. Many cops go through their career without ever pulling they're gun. Soldiers in war's freeze, that's the difference between a battle hardened soldier and a green soldier. Yes, they should have acted more decisively- but my god all this piling on the police is gonna result in nobody wanting to be a cop. I would never even consider it, for this reason and i served in the military.

  17. lol
These are the police they think are going to enforce gun bans?
Enjoy your diverse, black and brown police force. Go look at Mexican and African policing. Laziness and corruption are their chief export.

  18. A true poloce officer would not have listened to the commands they would've still went bc they could've saved all those kids life L cop 😪rip everyone if naruto or luffy was their they could have saved them or if someone in the military was their they would've saved em
