Indiana state police are celebrating two fishermen who discovered 27-year-old Matthew Reum trapped in a mangled truck that was stuck under a highway for six days. Reum is now recovering and his union said in a statement that his leg was amputated. NBC News’ Shaquille Brewster reports.

Late at night without much traffic since it’s the holidays. No skid marks on the side of the road to alert police of a possible accident, truck was speeding and jumped the stream and lay under the bridge on the other side; sounds like DUI. The fishermen were scouting the area for the start of fishing season in the spring and found the wreck. If the fishermen didn’t have free time to look for fishing holes in the winter, the headlines might have read next spring; “Fishermen find skeleton in wreck truck”.
It's great that he survived and was found, but let's not ignore what had to be involved in his ending up there in the first place.

6 days, yes that is an Actual miracle. Thank God it rained for him. Enjoy your life bro, his first meal after that was the greatest thing he ever tasted in his life.

Can't you give a more detailed and precise location? I finally heard the reporter say, "Portage, Indiana." Why not put that info into a banner on screen somewhere, easy to see and understand?
