Why would five African-American police officers knowing they have body cams on commit such a heinous crime. Something just doesn’t seem right about all of this. It seems that the police in every country behave like a state sponsored mafiosi occupying force. The solution is to put a bounty upon convictions. Do that and private enterprise will compile a case brief for an offence, and with the consent of the victims, (for without a victim, where is the crime), present that brief before a judge. If the judges assesses that the accused has a case to answer then the judge would order a sheriff, (not the police), to bring the accused before the court. The private enterprise would present the case and if the accused is found guilty, earn the bounty. That process would remove the corruption from the police and from the government prosecutor.

This is why you never, ever lower standards for police officer candidates. No; i am not talking about race either. You do not hire any candidate that has anything questionable in their background. Period. We hired a guy once that had 2 simple minor criminal offenses on his record. A shoplifting and a simple possession of marijuana. He was a sort of local celebrity who was a star athlete at one of our high schools, he did some media work, and some inspirational speaking. So many pushed hard for him to be hired. His test score was very low, he had to take the psych test twice, his background was full of pot holes. The detective that did his background recommended he not be hired. But he was anyway. He was a problem child from day 1. Constant complaints. Questionable arrests. Often we would be asked by some “why did you guys hire that guy?” “He’s as dirty as they come”. His own father (who was well respected in many circles) spoke out against his own son being hired. He told me numerous times that he was just as dirty as any of the other goons. He was just smarter. Well eventually while investigating drug complaints he was seen frequenting some of the dealers. People were starting to talk about him. So we set up a trap. He fell right i to it and there was no way out. We had him taking hush money, protecting dealers, robbing the competition dealers and selling their dope, robbing and beating hookers, and other various crimes. We arrested him, indicted him and he pled not guilty. Well once he saw what we had on him he pled and got 17 years in prison. He was released in 13 years was out about 9 months and got caught robbing a stop and rob store served 2 1/2 more got out and was shot dead by a rival drug crew. I seriously bet that these guys had things in their back-grounds that were either ignored or overlooked. You can usually see how most incidents begin and how they played out and there is some blame on both sides. as with say George Floyd. But sometimes it’s clear that the officers were acting in bad faith from the get go as in this case. There was nothing these guys did that could anyway be justified. From the very beginning it was clear that they were acting as a rabid street gang not police officers. There is no excuse for this and the department handled it perfect. This is also no excuse for the hethern rioters to act like they are acting. Their actions like those of these former officers is nothing less than reprehensible. I believe that these former officers need to be treated harshly but I believe that the rioters need treated just as harshly if not more so. Their action can never be tolerated. Blocking roadways is never legal. In my state our legislature passed a laws that if people illegally block a road way that is a threat (based upon their past actions of dragging people from their vehicles and destroying property) so now under out stand your ground law if you road is blocked and you have no way to safely escape then you can drove into the protesting group to escape. Cant agree more. Ive told my wife and kids don’t stop. Never stop in that situation. Drive forward and keep going. One wrong does not make excuse for another like a riot.
Right from the beginning when Tyre was on the ground it looked like there was 4 police officers on the scene. At that point each officer could have tried to restrain one left arm one right arm one left leg one right leg and then handcuff him. Each police officer would have two hands and their body weight vs one body part. Police Officers need to be trained to use this technique to properly and safely arrest/handcuff a person who is resisting arrest. My condolences to the family.

How ironic. Five police officers charged are black. This completely stares at the black lives movement and calls it into question.
