New details are emerging of a serious close-call involving a United flight on December 18th in Hawaii, where the plane went into an extreme, unexplained dive. NBC News’ Tom Costello has more on the incident and other recent close-calls.

The aviation industry is clearly in a crisis. There is too much demand for travel and not enough pilots they are overworked and understaffed. The pandemic has put a huge hit to the industry and I think we are seeing the result of that now. I’m happy no one has gotten hurt at least. These pilots and flight attendants are doing the most!

From what I hear, the NTSB and FAA will not be investigating this particular incident since there were no injuries reported.
