AND…he voted against helping people on the East coast in a similar situation?
If I were Biden, I would grant the money with the stipulation that he step down as governor. He has demonstrated that he is NOT a responsible custodian of tax payer dollars.
AND…the attorney general needs to be having a conversation with the state attorney general about civil charges to recoup the tax payers dollars that he WASTED for political gain.
Then he should be charged CRIMINALLY. If ANYONE at a local level had misappropriated funds like that they would be indicted expeditiously!

2013, Ron DeSantis was unambiguous: A federal bailout for the New York region after Hurricane Sandy was an irresponsible boondoggle, a symbol of the “put it on the credit card mentality” he had come to Washington to oppose.
Funny thing about DeSantis: In 2013, as Senator, he voted against providing Federal assistance to the victims of hurricane Sandy because he said it wasn't the government's job to assist victims of natural disasters and that it would blow up the Federal budget and 'why don't those people just pick themselves up by their bootstraps anyway?'. Now, because Florida has privatized insurance, all the insurers are ready to declare bankruptcy. So, he has asked Biden to provide 100% assistance to Florida.
Screw him. DeSatan belongs in prison.

I have always really liked him but him mentioning pets he is a good guy. They make it seem as if he kidnapped 50 illegal migrants that they had no idea where they were going. Look it up right now at least 30% of illegals get bused to Florida and believe it or not it’s a little bit more then 50. God bless the people in Florida. I lived on the other coast for a decade and it is great.

Unless insurance rules have changed, property damaged by a surge should be covered, because the proximate cause of the sure and loss would be windstorm. Of course Florida's insurance laws may not be the same as the rest of the nation.
