This man’s response is exactly the reason I just left Florida for good. The fact that he had the balls to say that on camera to a huge media outlet underscores how insane and brainwashed these people in power are. The state government and laws are a complete joke.
You have OPTIONS. Leave the state. Pay your mom’s insurance. We live in a FREE country. I could’ve moved to Florida CHEAP 20 years ago from the Mid Atlantic, but since I know arithmetic, I calculated EXACTLY what’s happening in Florida 20 years ago that scientists were publishing. I ecided to stay in the Mid Atlantic and pay my state taxes. In addition, I decided to keep working until at least 70 to take my Social Security at max, save money for retirement, and NOT DEPEND SO MUCH on political BS such as “woke insurance” and vote against my own interest. Finally, I also decided “in old age” NOT TO LIVE IN A HURRICANE ALLEY IN RETIREMENT! You are on a FIXED INCOME living around sink holes and surround by a HOT OCEAN calling out for hurricanes as you drive you 20 MPG car and use a lot of AC.

My insurance has been 500 times more than the guy with the Cadillac that rear ended me. 500 times more than the person that t boned me. They dont pay! My insurance has been 50p x more than people with multiple dwis. I'm tired of paying 500 percent more, for people that would deny one public shore access. With their saving, they blocked public access, and claimed it for themselves. Any encroachment on a public right of way is two felonies.
