Everyone knows it was retaliation, but it was Florida's legislature – not DeSantis, who approved changing Florida law to eliminate Disney's special district – that's democracy in action, and it worked beautifully here.

Disney and Reedy Creek were supposed to be separate from one another. So, by ending the special district, DeSantis did nothing to Disney. Disney can actually get in trouble if it turns out that they were running Reedy Creek.
