OMG! The lady found breathing in a body bag at the funeral home touched me deep. I can’t imagine being left dead in a body bag alone at the funeral home. I’m so glad somebody found her gasping for air. It’s scary. They gotta stop hiring anyone for EMT smh.

EMT can pronounce someone dead?? Here in my country only doctors are allowed to pronounce someone dead, not only one but two doctors to pronounce someone clinicaly dead, first one doctor comes in do his assessment and two hours later come the second doctor who after his assessment can pronounce the patient clinicaly dead.
They probably got use to calling it with all the covid people that died so just lost interest in the job but I been seen these stories come up more often.

This is sickening! WTF is going on here at Clearwater Fire and Rescue? What kind of folks work here? Are your staff qualified? Your staff pronounced a man dead when in fact he was alive? The daughter Phoebe INSISTED in her own words that her dad Thomas Maxwell was still alive? This is UNACCEPTABLE by any medical standards? This needs further investigation and further training and protocols must be upgraded to this not happening again. I do not want my dad being told by the Fire and Rescue department that he is dead when he is in fact alive? Come on! We got to do a BETTER JOB here Clearwater Fire and Rescue Department.

Just because some people have woken up, doesn't mean that a whole lot more haven't succumbed to their illness/injuries by the time they reached the morgue! Who knows how many of those people could be saved if they'd just been provided the right medical care when it was available to them?!
