A Florida man has been given three weeks to move after his sailboat and home lost power a fourth of a mile out from the beach. NBC’s Rehema Ellis shares how good samaritans are coming together to get this vessel back out to sea.

City, the most noble and neighorly thing to do is to help this man.
Get some empty barrels with lids and fill the barrels with water remove everything you can but you want the barrel of water to keep you heavy so you don't keep going further in the barrel need to be down inside …with the tide at its highest point double up your anchors up front make sure you got a good Stern Anchor you want to get your bow facing out wait for the highest point tide dump the barrels and pump It out your boat throw sail's up when the wind hits her it will also help buy tilting it over one thing you need to be very sure of though if it doesn't come completely out the first time make sure if you're going to go back on your side that you keep the high side to the ocean don't try to pull that Stern anchor in just let her fly as you go and if you have electric winches on the front use them it took me 3 days to get off the beach like this but I was able to do it without the help anybody 35 ft choley with a full keel

And yes I had no motor at one point I was over 100 yd from the water and yes I lived on my boat and still do…you can do this……

He’s got enough money to afford this incredibly expensive boat, but he can’t afford to move it off the beach?
It’s not like he did it intentionally. The same way they’re going to have it moved if he doesn’t move it, is the same way they can help him get it back into the water. He declined help because he didn’t want to cause any further damage or put people in harms way…he doesn’t sound like a bad guy or that he’s trying to be difficult, they need to just help him out instead of threatening him.
Best of luck to him. I’m hoping he gets back on the ocean again soon. Have some compassion people🤦♂️Sometimes bad things happen to good people.

I’m a sailor and can tell you. He could have weighed ankor. Or actually sailed it. Seems he only knows how to use the motor . A real sailor would not have gotten in this situation and yea he needs to get it off the beach on his expense

What if it could be put on a trailer, and driven out of there?
Then just look for a boat dock + ramp somewhere.
