Research shows that six Chinese passengers survived when the Titanic sank in April 1912. Their stories have long been excluded from accounts of that historic day. NBC News’ Kathy Park reports on a new documentary that attempts to rewrite that century-old injustice.

Throughout James Cameron's Titanic, there are scenes where there's Chinese man in the background & there's a deleted scene where he gets rescued by Lifeboat 14.

Awesome. Can't wait to see this documentary. Learned about the Asian and African people from the titanic during the Honor and Glory annual memorial live stream they have ever year. I have watched every documentary I could and never heard about it till then, or maybe it was Top 5's. One or the other. Both excellent channels for those interested. They are both a wealth of information.

what they don't say in the video is some of the survivors were still kicked out the us even after the sinking only because racisms from the chinese exclusion act

There a biracial Black French family as well. I read the fiction book based on their story in 2015.
