Not a good president but a good human being
I voted for President Carter twice. We share several ancestors from the time of the first settlements in Virginia to the plains of Western Georgia. I even had the honor of shaking his hand when he ran for Governor of Georgia. Though he had his trials and tribulations as President, I can say in all honesty that Jimmy Carter had the greatest second act in American history.

Jimmy Carter’s legacy is that he lived a life of extraordinary compassion and empathy for his fellow man. He was a far better President than Reagan. He never got us into a war. He was aware of environmental pollution causing global warming even putting solar panes on the White House. Reagan had them taken down. And Carter did not profit from his years of life after office. He donated his time to many worthy projects. Habitat for Humanity. His grace and humility and faith and friendliness , his willingness to work hard for civil rights and for people in need, is a grand legacy. He never used his White House days to make himself a fortune. He was a good and kind man devoted to his faith and taught others about the Bible. Whatever you may think of the afterlife, I can’t think of a human being more worthy to arrive at the Pearly Gates and sit and have a conversation with God. May God bless him and his family.

Although a terrible President he is a great humanitarian.
Regardless of what you think about Carter as a president, it is impossible to deny that he was one of the most honest, decent, respectable men to ever hold the office and one of the few leaders of this country that genuinely cared about the people above himself and his politics. What he did after office only reinforces this, choosing to live a life of service rather then one of luxury.

I became a father on February 29th, 2016. For my first and second child, I wrote to the Carter Center and asked President Carter if he'd send a welcome letter to my children. I don't know if he really signed the letters, but it was a thrill to receive letters back for them to read someday.

My cousin had cancer, the doctor said, the cancer was to far gone. He sewed her backup and placed her on hospice at home.
Thank God, she lived almost 30 years.
Her favorite saying was, when God calls, she would be ready.
No matter what you may have thought about his politics, Jimmy Carter has to be the best human being to serve as president during my lifetime. You don't see many 90+ year olds pounding nails for Habitat for Humanity and you sure don't see any filthy rich ex-presidents doing that.
Maybe Biden and fetterman should join him? may GOD have mercy on his soul
