God bless the people willing to walk into a war zone to help animals escape the violence and certain death. No animal should have to suffer because of the evil of human beings. The sad part is that many will die because of the carelessness of humans or the violence of the war. It’s in my mind that people who risk their lives to save pets and other animals are not foolish but saints. And I pray that the brave people who help animals remain safe from harm. You are in my prayers everyday.

I am an animal activist and I’m heartened by the rescue efforts being put out but believe that this is a perfect example of why we should not be keeping wild animals captive for our entertainment. Animals kept in small enclosures live miserable. They want to be free just like the people of Ukraine and everyone else around the world. Zoos are prisons for creatures that never committed a crime except to be born. That single elephant has been on my mind since I first found out about him weeks ago. If he has not released to a sanctuary type situation he’s better off being euthanized. That’s the most humane thing to do with an animal is sensitive. We need to change the way we view animals. Friends? Food? Clothing? Slaves? Family?

This is so heartbreaking knowing these poor animals are so scared and confused because they've been abandoned only so the owner can live and try to make it back to them,I understand that it's so hard to leave them behind but at least you know that you are coming back to them A.S.A.P. and I'm totally fine with that I am totally against the way that the Russian army is using them as target practice that's so cruel those poor animals they don't deserve this they didn't do anything wrong to be treated like that.
