Regardless of your party affiliation, you need to give credit where credit is due that's how you move the needle. Oil prices are someway controlled by OPEC members. To bring prices up, they just need to announce a reduction in outputs. It doesn't matter if we are oil/energy independent. Unless we nationalize our oil production or subsidize it somehow, what we pay at the pumps will always correlate to the world oil prices.
More of a reason for a lot of people to work from home where they can. Better work life balance and saving the planet at the same time.
It's not about ethics, it's about Ideology. The left doesn't care by what means they accomplish things, they don't care how dirty they play, as long as they achieve the end results they want! For you listeners who have never been to New York City or are aware of just how different its culture is then you might want to pay particular attention to Catsimatidis? John, as Stuart well knows is an iconic example of how business is done in New York City. While the internal strategy of a business is generally done in the morning of each day but the external strategy is generally conducted at a lunch dinner or an afternoon at a mutually agreed upon bar! Listen carefully and you will find that the delivery and intonation are the same as another famous New Yorker's. Now to the point. I agree generally; but, inflation, and particularly oil, is going much higher than just hundred dollars. Consequently everything else will also be going up proportionally! The market will not be doing well but I would caution going short as well! In six months this country will be going through major pain especially if the next winter is not as mild as this one was.
