USA got weapon systems that uses chips made by TSMC. Imagine if China took over and decided not to sell us those chips anymore, or jack up the price, using it as leverage in other negotiations. We have to defend these assets, at least for another 5 to 10 years until plants in the US can catch up.

Blinken keeps claiming that the One China agreement hasn't changed, yet we are poking the dragon with US military escalations in the region and conducting negotiations to provide Taiwan with our most advanced weaponry, obviously for it to become autonomous and independent from China.
China already has US in mate and is inevitably only one move from checkmate. We have no way of stopping China. Attempting to do so is futile only accelerates our own demise, as well as Taiwan's.
China's military is far greater and more effective than Russia's. Taiwan is NOT Ukraine, surrounded by NATO.
Sabre rattling against China and insulting Xi, as tRump did, is foolish. Committing resources to control trade routes throughout China's Sea is a fool's folly, doomed to a disastrous outcome. Imagine how the US would respond to China's warships conducting military exercises off the coast of California.
None of this mess would be happening, if 'free enterprise' corporations hadn't been so greedy and had stayed in America, instead of signing away their own IP for maximum short term profits. /smh
