Remember that Hunter has been through trials before and he was willing to go to trial before the DOJ offered him the deal. Presidents (and former presidents) are responsible for THEIR actions, not those of their adult children.
I KNOW about every indictment and WHAT it is for.
Even after Hunter Biden goes to court, IF exonerated Republicans will still complain. Hunter Biden is a private citizen so let the justice system play out but DON'T COMPLAIN if you don't get the results you hope for.

In our last presidential election cycle in this country my vote went in favor of a candidate I thought was of sound mind . Fast forward to our next election cycle I see no candidate that even comes close to my idea for what is for the good of this country in the category of sound judgement . Every poll taken in this country proves that this statement is not blowing smoke up peoples butts in this country.

Wowee! Weiss can extend his investigation for another five years and maybe find more misdemeanors for 2.5 million a piece. He needs to be special prosecutor so he can catch all of Hunter Biden's parking tickets in every jurisdiction. Symone Sanders-Townsend is wrong. There may not be an appetite among Washington DC Democrats for a alternative to Joe Biden, but out in the rest of the country there is. I hear every day from Democrats young and old, moderate and progressive who say they worry about Joe Biden being able to win in 2024. They think he is getting too old, he is having verbal stumbles and the whole Hunter Biden issue is a major distraction the same way Hillary's emails became a major distraction in 2016. Right or wrong, Joe Biden has an image problem. His approval rating is at 40%. The only thing that gives Democrats any hope is that Trump's numbers are worse. But Trump could easily win. And that should give Democrats a lot of concern.
Well, Ive been writing for a couple of years: Biden and Harris should have announced after the relatively successful midterms that neither would seek election to Executive Branch positions in 2024, Biden acknowledging that he was slowing down (while events in the world weren't) and Harris acknowledging, without having to say it, that she may be a great VP, but not an outstanding campaigner, as was proved in 2019. I have been trying to figure out why she doesn't hack it as a campaigner or speechmaker. Something with her voice. The best I can say is that, regardless of what she's talking about, she always sounds like she is pleading. Raskin, Schiff, Buttigieg, Whitmer, even schoolmarmish Warren, sound like confident presidents. Harris always sounds like she's pleading with us to agree with her. Biden sounds like a folksy grandpa in the Carter style, and that worked for Carter, even when he was 50. It must have worked for Biden in 2020.
Harris should have worked out a deal with Lee, Schiff and Porter to run for Feinstein's Senate seat next year, and stay in it for just one term. As it is, with all three of them running for the same seat, Harris is politically blocked out from doing so and California is bound to lose two competent House members because they're not running for three Senate seats, but one.
This would have left the whole national ticket open. It wouldn't look like Biden was dumping Harris, nor that Harris had just used the vice presidency as a stepping stone to the top post, once the old man retires. She was effective in the Senate, and should have stayed there in the first place.
Now it is too late to pull anything like that off. If Biden were to announce he was not running, 2024 would turn into 1968. Remember how that turned out? Not good for Dems. If we're voting on policy, it doesn't make much difference if the nominee is Biden or Harris or Whitmer or Buttigieg or Pritzker, etc. Bernie, Warren, Raskin or Porter would make some difference, but not much. They would still have a Congress to deal with. Any Democrat is going to be labeled a socialist or worse by Trump.
Unfortunately, too many Americans vote based on the entertainment value of a candidate or how chummy he/she makes them feel, though the chances of a president showing up at their backyard barbecue or to watch the SuperBowl in their man-cave is about as low as winning Mega-Millions.
The biggest impact of the Hunter Biden saga could be that the Republican leaning independents, who didn't vote for Trump in 2020, could be back to the trump camp in 2024. Too many indictments could obfuscate the weapon against Trump and may not move them as they start to grow suspicious on it.
A lot of people would like an alternative dem candidate but the incumbent automatically gets the nod and it's too late for him to step down. He should have said he wasn't running last Jan and the dems should have had a nomination too. Biden is a weak candidate….
