The disability act should have more resources for people who are sick

Ms is a very hard condition to diagnose. Also it affects more women than men. And I know this because I was diagnosed earlier this year with it after 3 er visits in a week that eventually lead to 2 weeks in the hospital. 😂 and only reason doctors thought to test for it was a nurse who listened to my symptoms after 3 days in the hospital and she suggested MS and I was like oh I've heard of that I have a family member with it. Next morning 2 teams of doctors were explaining I was misdiagnosed previously and that ms isn't fatal 😂😂
Brava, Selma! She's calling out doctors that don't look at their patients and instead make them feel crazy. They say things like it's in your head. You are getting older. You could have an expensive MRI, but probably won't show anything. What a hero to MSers in sharing her story and bringing awareness to all those with disabilities.
Stunning!!!! I love this interview, I have a friend with fibromyalgia and I appreciate her talking about it.
As someone who has a walking disability, that like Selma people thought I was lazy or it wasn't real, I appreciate this interview and all that she has done and is doing. Most important Selma needs to know she is strong and beautiful and worthy of every moment of goodness in her life, and she is recognizing that which is the true gift that a disability provides us, a perspective we didn't have before. Thank you.
Having hidden disabilities is exhausting. Having to say no to too many things. Great interview.
Selma is a racist.
Karma works in mysterious ways.
The very best to you Selma. Your radiant smile brighten our world. Thank you. ☮️

Thank you to Kristen Walker for inspiring.
Where can we watch her documentary?
One of the most important things you could possibly do for disabled Americans is to conduct an audit of how LONG disabled individuals have to WAIT for social services such as MEDICARE to approve medically necessary equipment such as a wheelchair or a power wheelchair or other equipment. Currently their expense approval process for a wheelchair typically takes one YEAR. The inexplicable, inexcusable delay in expense approval is causing undue suffering and even death to Americans with disabilities. The delay period has no legitimate purpose. What do they think people who can't walk are doing for a year or more without a wheelchair? The cruelty involved in causing the suffering of individuals by DEPRIVING them of timely approval of medically necessary equipment is like a psychopath's "dream loophole" where they believe they can not only never be held accountable but also can sustainably continue to get away with causing pain, suffering and even death because they are not DOING anything to the intended victims – it is what they are NOT doing – THAT is where the problem for the American Citizen – now turned VICTIM lies. If anyone could make meaningful changes on behalf of disabled Americans Ms. Selma Blair – it would be you.
Wow I haven’t seen Selma recently and she’s looking amazing. Everything is different now, so happy for her
See if the same would work for Christina.
Wonderful interview. I felt seen today❤
Love Selma + Kristen!!!
I KNOW how she feels when I've been with my Service Dogs over the years. SO MANY IGNORANT people feel it is their place to tell you about their ignorance. Know-it-alls who know nothing. Especially store employees.
I had a Lt. Security Guy in the Hilton Waikaloa tell me I couldn't take my service dog into a Heart concert about a decade ago. I told him he better check himself, and told him to call Hilton's manager so she could educated the local wannabe cop.
Because the manager, an African woman from Kenya, certainly knew the ADA Laws or she wouldn't be a manager. She told him I could go in and he then motioned I could hang out back by the bar and rest rooms. I said no thanks, we're gonna go dance. And if I fall he'll be there to catch me. 150lb Great Dane/English Mastiff. He lived 10 years.
His son my 2nd Service Dog even danced with me. He lived 10 years too.
It's hard when they pass. I don't go anywhere anymore.
The public is too ignorant for me to deal with.
There is NO accessibility at so many public spaces.
Thank you for your story!
Love selma Blair and her advocacy, it needs to go even farther for us rare disease patients-Its not just an MRI its advanced imagery. When the MRI isnt enough and you are on medicaid. I need more advanced care and they won't provide it due to expense and social situation. Im homeless so thats what everything gets blamed on for me
Wow! Thank you to Kristen Walker and Meet the Press for featuring Selma and her journey to diagnosis and daily experience of living with an oftentimes very debilitating illness. Also, hearing her advocate for those with disabilities, which includes calling for critical changes in how the medical community treats patients, as well as the wider society, was so encouraging. Thank you, Selma Blair, for bravely and honestly telling your story! You are a beacon of hope for all those who live with illness and disability, only wanting to be treated with as much respect and dignity as anyone else.
Why does the Western media not talk about the horrific number of children, women and youth in the prisons of the Israeli Zionist occupation for years, or even many years, before October 7?
450 Palestinian children and minors are prisoners
More than 81 women and girls
There are more than 12 thousand prisoners in the Zionist occupation prisons. Or are the Palestinian prisoners not a secret and they have their rights?
Do the peoples of the world know that the Zionist-Israeli occupation practiced all forms of torture on Palestinian female prisoners when they were young? The ages of some of the children arrested by Israel range between 6 and 12 years old, and their number exceeds 450 children, in addition to more than 81 women who were arrested at a very young age. Why doesn't the world talk about the Palestinian prisoners, children, women, youth and the elderly?
