With the hassle involved in flying these days, especially the increased probability your flight will be canceled, using 6 hours as a decision point to drive vs. fly is no longer accurate. It's at least 12 hours of drive time to consider flying as an alternative. My goal now is to never get on another plane in my lifetime (I'm 75). If I do that, I'll be a very happy man.
