It worried everyone through out the whole world. Unemployment, food crisis and price rise in every thing toppled many economies. Wars make America more profit. At least we NOW have a president who doesn't claim to "know more than all the generals" and lets his military cabinet do what they do best. Retired or not, there are many capable military experts who can help Ukraine defeat Russia one way or another. And so far, except for providing weapons to Ukraine, the US has managed to stay out of the fight.
