Workers at the Mason Jar Cafe in Benton Harbor, Mich., were stunned and tearful after a customer left behind a $10,000 tip on a $32 bill. NBC News’ Ellison Barber reports that the patron, who was in town for a funeral, also wanted to pay tribute to his late friend with a generous act of kindness.

Every time I see a recommend tip I don’t tip. Every other time 10% is what you get. If the waitress paid extra attention to my table 15%, if is also Christmas 20% but never more than that.
Guaranteed the server wrote that in. The 1s and 0s do not match the handwriting of the other numbers
You know most of it goes to the cafe and not the employee right?
I'll call it a fake. We see stories like this every so often and more times than not it turns out to be fake, and/or the original patron reports the amount as fraud. One could hope this one is for real, but past experiences says it isn't.
Signs of a worthless currency 😂😂😂 are here 😂😂😂
Waitress; We had so many incredible women working that day, so many hard working mothers just who really deserve this”
Camera shows several men working
Male staff: and what are we… chopped liver????
She made it sound like the men were being cut out. So the men aren’t “incredible”? None of them are hard working dads?
10k….. cheapskate
Awesome, happy to hear news stories like this.🤗👍
Wealthy person being very generous
#Israel refused to work with biden.
No one will vote for the projects of a political bankrupt.
Trump
Glorify a rich person for their money, how about Glorify the MILLIONS of minimum wage workers that show up to work every day that make this country work.
The IRS doing the Birdman hand rub rn
This is not a tip, this is helping a group of people he knows. Tipping is totally wrong and spreading like a plague in all countries due to greedy corporations. The service providing companies should pay adequate monthly salary to the workers and not force it onto customers to bail them out.
Incredible generosity! Amazing!
Please cross check with the customer, his/her child might have written this judging by the handwriting
Sounded pretty good till it got to the point of everyone having to share it. Definitely not life changing. Still generous though.
I'm not crying, I'm going "HOLY S___!"
$10k divide between their 82 employees, It's not such a good tip after all.
In the biden economy the 0001% can count on luck to get by
Don't work for tips, means the boss don't want to pay you a real wage like in Europe. You get a tip if you do great service not your job.
It must be nice to be wealthy, lucky, carefree, and frivolous! 💪😎✌️ It's also more verification that financial success is almost always about fortune and chance, but NOT that any person has worked harder (nor more consistently) than anyone else.
$0.00 tip with a $10,000 gift. Taxation is theft. Poor server has to pay taxes on someone else’s “deduction”.
I was the one that left the tip, I do that from time to time.
