A Georgia couple is fighting officials for the return of their five children taken away after a traffic stop when law enforcement found marijuana in their car. NBC’s Priscilla Thompson has more on how activists and lawmakers are now joining the battle.

Actually the kids were taken away because there was weed and a gun in the car, the mother was uncooperative, and they both failed drug tests. Also the kids referred to the man as 'weed man' and showed officers how to roll a joint. These are terrible parents stop making excuses for them.

Sorry, but this is so obviously state kidnapping of those children! Child services is known for this kind of stuff. They will take well taken care of, very much loved children, but do nothing for obviously abused children. In this case, it seems pretty obvious there is a racial element at play as well. Why are we still worried about people having a small amount of weed? Why are we arresting people for this, let along taking their children for it. My heart goes out to these parents. I’ve breast fed all 4 of my babies, you can’t just put of nowhere stop nursing a baby, and on top of that put the baby through having to adjust to formula when they aren’t used to it. Most of the time when a mom switches from breast milk to formula they mix the two together so that they baby’s little tummy can get used to the change just so many things wrong here, and all so needless.
It’s not extreme! These reckless parents were driving under the influence with an unsecured gun in the car!!!!

They think there at the border and Trump is still President. The whole state is backward thinking. All of the malnourished white children in TN they could be spending state funds on. This is why white people become racist. They believe these children are going to be treated better and be given special attention. While their kids starve in Appalachia
Ok… if they were driving while effected, thats a problem. You shouldn't drive with ANYTHING foreign actively in your system. But taking away the children just because they have some amount of it with them, is definitely wrong.

This is not a free country like people have been led to believe. I can not believe that five children were taken away just because of a marijuana finding in the car. Something is definitely wrong with our justice department.
