Now that's an American charger
Unless I'm confused, this headline seems misleading. They aren't opening up Tesla charging stations to everyone, they're just going to let GM vehicles have access.
Really there should just be a law mandating all charging stations to be universal. This was/is some monopoly promoting bs that ultimately hurts and slows the social switch from gas to electric. Elon doesn't care about saving the planet he cares about his bottom line.
Now Elon Musk will be able to pull the plug on GM and Ford.
Standardization is key. This is a great first step! I wish the government would step in and make a standard, just like with building codes.
It's about effing time. Tesla wanted their chargers to only be for Tesla vehicles. That's not the way to change the world, Elon.

At EA charging is .36 a kwhr. By paying $4 a month. Tesla is a bit higher rate and the EA net work. That one difference it's going to make. My trip of 550 miles in my bolt ev 2017 costed me only $25.30 on my road trip. Using EA network. Electrify American chargers.

No electric cars for me!! I have my 2001 Silverado 4.3 V6 and A mint condition 1990 T-Bird my grandparents gave me. Both cars you people hate but idc what you think. My buddy has a 2006 F-250 power stroke with a 6 inch tailpipe and plans to put stacks on it. GAS AND DIESEL ALL THE WAY!!!

Electric vehicle charging should follow the same standard as gas stations, there should be oversight on the standards of charging stations, I don't want to see any stupid upcharge for electricity in the same regard as gas and its stupid additives and refinery fees.
