Spent 25 years on the Railroad, these companies are run by some really inept people. Every week they continue to change the rules and do not honor contracts. Safety is only first when it's accommodates them.
Yes unions are not perfect. But the real issue is the lifestyle the Railroad families live. It's not easy. They want a life as well.
Truckers should go on strike with the railroad workers. In seven days, congress would understand who has the real power. Watch liberals start to eat their children!

I am a union member. The only thing that keeps me as a union member is the insurance. The unions do nothing for their people. My union hall no longer hires Americans. If you don't speak Spanish you don't get hired. They raised the dudes like the Democrats raise the taxes and prices of everything else. And somehow it seems like the union halls with members that make less pay higher dues if you only make $16 an hour on average through your hall you pay $42 a month and dues if you make on average $30 an hour your hole will make you paid $25 in dues per month plus 19 or $20 in union fees are taking out weekly from every check also

The railroad workers are a bunch of whiney babies. Google all of the benefits the rail workers have now including their pension benefits. They have all of us by the balls and know it. I say DOX all of them, then see if they strike.
