If the US kicks its energy industry into gear we can produce all the energy we need. The point here is Biden has painted hisself into a corner with his energy policies. He is telling the world he screwed up. Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Iran, Russia and all energy producing countries hate us. They will kick us in the teeth if we get knocked down. Biden is too stupid to figure that out. There is no reason to reduce oil production because it is not the cause of climate change. That problem will fix itself as he has causef a lot of pain for Americans and that will end his political career.
We need to develop other sources of energy because fossil fuels are finite and will become more scarce in the future. But, we do not need to switch everything over immediately. Wind and solar will not meet our energy needs. They will ultimately cause more harm than good as they become a larger source for energy. Right now it looks like nuclear is the best bet. Our navy has been using nuclear to power their ships for many years now without any major disaster. I also think we can sqeeze more energy from the fossil fuels today through technology.
