  1. Why not just friggin pay attention to the road ffs lazy

  2. More government regulations in cars!!!!
    Enough already.

  3. So if a car behind me gets too close, my car will slam on the brakes. 🤷‍♂

  4. Next they’ll want us to have gun safety laws

  5. Carjackers have already used this to their advantage!
They have someone stand near the car and it prevents the car from driving away.

  6. It’s already on the market they don’t need a regulation for it. They need to fire all the government regulators and get rid of the whole department of the federal government.

  7. This is something the Republican an sink it teeth into and get it done – instead of giving even more tax breaks to the rich.

  8. Doesn't this system malfunction and randomly completely brake you to ZERO on highways? There's videos all over YouTube

  9. All of these techno solutions are only going to make drivers use their phones more and pay attention to the road less…

More and more lazy and distracted drivers on the road. Using tech to solve all your problems only goes so far.

The problem is clear but the solution is not just apply more tech alone. Tech, legislation and culture all contribute to solving the problem from more than one direction.

Once legislation goes for the quick-fix solutions like this then they are outsourcing the responsibility of driving which makes drivers less responsible.

And, what happens if you are driving last years car which does not have this feature? Are you now liable when you did not know that this car did not have this feature?

  10. Might save 360 lives a year. Seams like a lot but only a tiny fraction of the deaths that take place in the shower. Might be more effective to send everybody some flower non-slip stick ons for our showers.

  11. Yeah, because they're working so well in autonomous vehicles, right? You're interested in saving lives? Try eliminating automatic-firing weapons, firstly; you'll save thousands more lives than 360.

  12. People could just not tailgate and pay attention while driving.

  13. So completely useless on highways

  14. Drunks phones they don’t have any solution braking at 55 and over just doesn’t work. Tired of these people adding more excuses to distract from the real issue, overpricing.

  15. Big trucks are exempt so people will just buy bigger trucks

  16. Why not focus on a better braking system, ceramic brakes and slotted rotors can’t be the only go to for high performance braking we need a newer better innovation.

  17. Finally, those who have driven a Tesla before seen the future

  18. Maybe the government could impose some new rules on itself.

  19. Wouldng want your brakes to engage on the highway,

  20. Because people or on their phone …..

  21. Can we make people less responsible and even dumber drivers by 2036?
    😂

  22. GET OUT OF THE PHONE 😂😅

  23. This is a bad idea.

  24. No thanks. So you can turn anybody off whenever with this tech. Riots shut off cars. Covid shut off cars. Hackers shut off cars.

  25. Then you get rear ended by the person behind you 👍

  26. Will AEB cause skyrocketing insurance rates to go down?

  27. Great cars are already over 50k now they will be over 70k. We can't afford it. Sorry….

  28. I'm no longer waiting for the GRANT LOAN because I acquire $29,600 every 10 days on my investment

  29. Why not allow vehicles to talk to each other? It would be easy for cars to avoid T-boning and whatnot if only they can announce their position and direction to surrounding vehicles through radiofrequency. Why would it be difficult to implement such a system?

  30. 🤮 I'm really starting to dread the future

  31. I just love how all the car companies think about is not hitting the car in front of them, who cares about who’s following you when your car slams on the brakes. I would like to see them doing testing with two or three cars in a row using these systems instead of just one, you know, just like in normal everyday driving.

  32. Like cardboard and styrofoam 00:41 These cars are a death trap .

  33. and when it is not working properly (all systems will in time fail) it will cause accidents

  34. You don’t need more regulation, you need better drivers and harsher driving laws.

  35. Yep. lest just make everything standard! Making all cars so expensive that no one can afford.

  36. This should be an optional feature for those that cant drive well. IE Females, Asians, etc.

  37. They should add a regulation that drivers of cars without this feature, or traveling over the cut-off speed would result in impound/forfeiture and loss of driving privileges until victims fully recover.

  38. Not everyone needs a car. Driver's License shouldn't be for everyone.

  39. Don't worry about the cost of the tech… worry about the cost of getting yourself in and out of criminal and civil prosecution after injuring or killing someone.
