Doesn't matter what ur race, religion, political beliefs are. We all need money to live. I'm a senior and I've only remember one shutdown. If they don't we are going to sew more homeless- mostly seniors . They won't be able to pay bills or rent( mortgages) they won't be able to buy food or medications. CONGRESS acts as if We are an entitled population. We aren't. Most of us. Had been hard workers over the years. Many of us are veterans, wives of veterans( or widows) That money belongs to all of us. There are many Government workers that this effects. Not just seniors. People in Military service , Government workers such as the Forestry service,people who work at Pentagon. In most of our government offices and the list goes on. There should never be a shutdown. There should be some kind of fail safe program to protect all of us. The people in Congress and the House are supposed to be smart. Why haven't they done something about this. The People are waiting for them to be intelligent! Yeah, govt shutdowns should occur- Congress passes a budget, it’s exceeded 9 months later- that means shut down.
Agreed to spending limits? When were they exceeded? This isn’t about trust, it’s about competency.
